25 YEARS
Reunion Update - July 15, 2008
Hello again to everyone!!! We hope you are
enjoying your summer as you look forward to our25th class reunion. Julie and I
have been finalizing some plans and thought this would be a perfect time to
update you on what to expect September 12th and 13th.
For Friday night the 12th we have reserved the patio at Rooster's for a very
informal gathering to begin at 5:30. Roosters is on Bridge Street where Damon's
used to be. They offer a full bar, a variety of flavored wings, pizza, subs and
burgers. It's a 'Fun Casual Joint' and a great place to just hang out and catch
up with everyone.
For Saturday night the 13th we have reserved the banquet room at the Dock on
Water. The Dock is located next to the Fire Department on Water Street. We can
also use the patio. The classic rock band 'Time Machine' will begin playing at
9:00,and we have been told they are AWESOME!!!! Food will be available in the
banquet room starting at 6:30 until 9:00. We are still working on the menu for
this. Depending on the amount of money we can get sent in, we have been offered
a large variety of food items to consider. This all depends on you. We will be
drawing names for 'door prizes' after 9:00 for those who have their money sent
in by August 20th. We need to
put a deadline on this due to the fact all the food HAS to be ordered in
advance. The first 55 people to send their money in to Julie will receive a
special gift as a keepsake.
The Hampton Inn and Suites has agreed to give us a free room for our drawing,
and to be eligible for this your money must
be received by August 20th. For those needing to make Hotel
Reservations the Hampton Inn would be a great choice!!! They offer 71 comfy
rooms, a pool, fitness room and playground. Whirlpools are offered in some of
the rooms, or a sauna if you prefer. They are located just behind Rooster's,
and have plenty of rooms available for your reservation. Check in time is 3:00
PM and checkout time is 12:00 PM. Please mention the class of '83 reunion when
making your reservation.
Once again, it is very important for you to have your money sent to Julie by
August 20th. At that time ALL plans will be finalized and we can look forward
to having a great time together. We hope to see you all there and would love to
hear your comments or suggestions!!!
